There is a little piece of natural prairie not too far from here called Krumm Preserve where the wildflowers are just going crazy at this time of year. I don't know what all of them are called, so of course the few that I do know stand out immediately. The coneflower (echinacea) is very known for its medicinal values, most of which are attributed to the root of the plant. I, like many other people, believe that even the sight of these flowers has a significant amount of medicinal value also. Something about these tall flowers with their slender petals that almost seem to float around the center of the flower just speaks to me on a very basic level.
The Image
The essential concepts here are fairly simple. The progression of three flowers with their growth in size and height is directly associable with ideas of family, growth, progress, achievement, and confidence. Various stages of development are obvious here and the little flower is almost climbing up the larger one. The area at Krumm Preserve has served as the background for many photo sessions as well as casual strolls with my wife and child.
More Ramblings
The ideas of growth and progress are integral parts of the work that we do here at Zandergraphics. One of the biggest challenges of graphics and especially website design is keeping up with the latest changes, concepts, software, and trends in a constantly evolving environment. A large part of what we do here is developming new software and design techniques, installing and upgrading new software, exploring and learning software as it is released and keeping everything on the "cutting edge" of the industry. Obviously, it's not easy to keep up with millions of software developers, designers, programmers, and others who are constantly working to improve the way the Internet operates and the ways that we use and interact with it. We contribute to the community in offering development and user-end support in many online forums and make every effort to reflect in our business strategy the type of dedication, honesty, and goodwill on which Zandergraphics was founded.
