A recent trip to the local pumpkin farm shows one aspect of the artictic opportunities available in the midwest. Sometimes the things that surround you are the least likely to inspire you, but there something just not right about that.

This one has a lot to do with demonstration of size and aspect. If the little aphid was much smaller, he would be lost in the image and would become little more than another detail.

The coneflower (echinacea) is very known for its medicinal values, most of which are attributed to the root of the plant. I, like many other people, believe that even the sight of these flowers has a significant amount of medicinal value also.
